Michael A. Chapski is an experienced and skilled trial lawyer having practiced law since 1994. Born and raised in Elgin, Illinois, Mr. Chapski attended high school at Marmion Military Academy in North Aurora, graduating in 1984 after serving as the Battalion Commander of the Cadet Corps. Mr. Chapski attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating number one in his class in 1988. In 1990 he earned a Master of Arts degree, and in 1994 he received his J.D., both from The University of Texas at Austin. While attending law school Mr. Chapski worked as a law clerk for the Austin law firm, Brown McCarroll, before returning to Illinois in 1994 to commence practicing law with his father, Robert.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Chapski has successfully represented hundreds of clients while earning the respect of his peers. He works diligently and efficiently to resolve whatever issues arise for his clients so as to achieve for them the most favorable results possible, whether through settlement or at trial, and his clients know and value the fact that he promptly responds to and answers their inquiries. A husband and father of two children, Mr. Chapski keenly appreciates and understands the often complex emotional dynamics present in the divorce process. He has previously served as an instructor for the Kane County KIDS Program, and additionally, as a trained, court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children, Mr. Chapski is also mindful of seeking results for his clients that serve their children’s best interests. Mr. Chapski has spent and continues to devote considerable time to pro bono activities, having previously served as a Director of the Kane County Bar Foundation and as a volunteer attorney for the indigent. Mr. Chapski is a Past President of the Elgin Bar Association, he has previously devoted his time as a guest legal instructor at Marmion Academy and he is an active parishioner at St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles.
