Ecklund, Carl A.

Mr. Edelstein's practice is limited to the representation of accident victims in workers' compensation and personal injury matters. He has earned a reputation as an aggressive and effective advocate for injured workers in the New Jersey Division of Workers' Compensation.

Mr. Edelstein was raised in Ocean County and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1969. He is an alumnus of Rutgers University, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the University of Miami. Mr. Edelstein received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit in 1978. He was admitted to the New York Bar, New Jersey Bar, and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1979.

Mr. Edelstein began his legal career practicing personal injury law in New York City. He became Assistant Township Attorney for Lakewood Township where he acted as Municipal Prosecutor. He has been a partner in the law firm of Hendrickson & Edelstein since 1981.

Mr. Edelstein currently sits as a member of the District III-A Ethics Committee. He is a former member of the Ocean-Monmouth Legal Services Board of Directors and was the Workers' Compensation Liaison to the Ocean County Bar Association.

When not practicing law, Mr. Edelstein plays guitar and is a participant in the Rock The Basie concert series at the Count Basie Theater. He has trained extensively in boxing, muy thai and jiu jitsu for many years and is a member of The Rhino Fight Team. He also enjoys training and caring for his two Cane Corso Mastiffs.
