Prior to law school, Mr. Eads worked as a manufacturer's sales representative for some of the premier manufacturers in the sporting goods, soft goods, and outdoor products industries. Mr. Eads earned his law degree cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Hastings College of the Law in 1997. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from DePauw University in 1979. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the Alameda County Bar Association, and served on the Alameda County Bar Association's Board of Directors.
Mr. Eads has been actively engaged in community-based volunteer activities, including serving as a volunteer judge and summer workshop teacher for the Donald P. McCullum Youth Court Program (a diversionary program for youthful first-time criminal offenders), and conducting monthly debtor-assistance clinics through the Volunteer Legal Services Corporation to counsel indigent Alameda County residents. In 2001, Mr. Eads received the Volunteer of the Year award from the Alameda County Bar Association in recognition of his volunteer activities.
