Danford R. Due was born in Louisville, KY on September 28, 1948. He obtained a BA from Vanderbilt University in 1970 and graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in 1973, earning a J.D., cum laude.
He was admitted to bar, 1973, Indiana, U.S. District Courts, Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the Indianapolis, Indiana State and American Bar Associations, the Defense Trial Council of Indiana, the Defense Research Institute, the Law Club of Indianapolis, the American Board of Trial Advocates Litigation Counsel of America, and the Lawyers Club of Indianapolis.
He was a contributing author (Continuing Legal Education Series) Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage in Indiana, 1988; The Wrongful Death Case in Indiana, 1989; Successful Handling of Wrongful Death Cases: The Experts Share Their Secrets, 1998.
Mr. Due's litigation experience includes trying over 100 jury trials to verdict as lead counsel. Practice areas include insurance defense litigation, insurance coverage, first party litigation; arson, fire and explosion litigation; asbestos litigation and personal injury. Mr. Due frequently serves as a mediator and an arbitrator in these practice areas. He has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer in 2004-2010.
