David J. Driscoll received his B.A. from Oberlin College in 1977 and his J. D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1982. In 1978-79, he served as a legislative aide to Hon. Timothy E. Wirth, U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, D.C. In 1982, he became an Assistant Attorney General in the Regulatory Law Section of the Colorado Department of Law. David entered private practice in 1985, and since then has concentrated on civil trials and appeals. He has represented a broad range of businesses and individuals in bench and jury trials in state and federal courts. He has also represented clients in numerous arbitrations and mediations, and has developed extensive experience in complex regulatory matters. He is a past president and director of the Boulder County Bar Association and served two terms on the Colorado Bar Association’s Board of Governors. He has chaired the Civil Litigation, Bench-Bar and Medical-Legal Sections of the Boulder County Bar Association. In 1999, he served on the Colorado Supreme Court’s Committee on the Use of Magistrates. He has twice been nominated by Colorado’s Twentieth Judicial District’s Nominating Commission for vacancies on the bench of the District Court, and now serves on that nominating committee. David currently also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado.
