Joel K. Goloskie is Of Counsel with Pannone Lopes Devereaux & West LLC and is a member of the Employment, Health Care and Litigation Teams. He litigates a wide variety of civil disputes, from commercial matters, bankruptcy and employment cases, to unfair business practices and personal injury cases. He practices in the state and federal courts of both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Mr. Goloskie has an extensive business background, which gives him a unique knowledge of the financial, contractual and fiduciary issues that often prove critical in complex commercial litigation.
Mr. Goloskie's business background also brings great value to the firm's Corporate and Municipal Infrastructure clients. He provides guidance on corporate matters ranging from start-ups to contract drafting to shareholder buy-outs, as well as on municipal infrastructure projects involving multi-million dollar investments of public funds. Mr. Goloskie's ability to apply his experience across a spectrum of legal disciplines enhances his service to clients who often face multi-faceted legal issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Goloskie founded and spent ten years at the helm of a highly-successful consulting firm, providing reimbursement, compliance and corporate consulting services to hospitals and health care systems in fifteen states. Mr. Goloskie's reimbursement efforts directly resulted in the recovery by his clients of tens of millions of dollars from federal and state health care programs. He assisted multiple clients as they faced or dealt with compliance orders and deferred prosecution agreements. He guided clients through a variety of start-ups, acquisitions, and multi-party joint ventures. He also served as founding executive director of a nonprofit corporation comprised of four hospitals and nine community health centers. His wealth of knowledge and experience are increasingly valuable commodities in today's ever-changing health care environment.
Mr. Goloskie earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School, an M.B.A. from Webster University, and a B.S. in Marketing-Management from Thomas College. While at Boston College, he interned for a U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge in Boston. He contributes actively to several sections of the Boston Bar Association.
