Linda J. Richards, a California native, has been practicing law for nearly 30 years. Her first employer was a law firm located on the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles where Linda handled a wide variety of cases encompassing issues related to family law, real property, civil litigation and wrongful termination employment litigation.

In 1982, the firm of Richards & Richards was formed (following a marital partnership formed two years earlier). Linda continued to Iitigate in several areas, successfully representing a varied group of clients, including members of the law enforcement community, entertainment industry and large business owners in family law litigation.

Approximately 15 years into the practice, Richards & Richards moved their practice to the beautiful Central Coast. The Central Coast offered an excellent opportunity to raise their young daughter who was then six years of age, while enjoying the outdoors in a clean, wholesome environment.

Richards & Richards established their firm in the City of Arroyo Grande, California, at a time when there were very few attorneys in the south County area providing legal services, and even fewer attorneys handling family law matters. It was at this time that Linda began to focus her part of the practice on litigation and mediation of family law matters.

Ms. Richards attended the divorce mediation interactive training program presented by the Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law as well as the Advanced Family Mediation Skills Training presented by the Mediation Center for Family Law.

Throughout the course of her career, Ms. Richards fine tuned her skills not only as an excellent advocate and litigator, but also as a careful, concerned listener and mediator.

In addition to her devotion to the practice, Ms. Richards enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and gardening.

Ms. Richards greatly enjoys living in the small community of Nipomo, California. Ms. Richards also understands the importance of attorney-client privilege, and carefully maintains confidentiality of all clients and all information relative to their cases.
