Niket Rele is a partner in Wiggin and Dana's Corporate Department and Chair of the India Practice Group, and a member of the Information Technology and Outsourcing Group. He is actively involved in the representation of early stage, emerging growth and mature companies, in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, cross border India-US transactions, venture capital, corporate finance and securities, strategic alliances and joint ventures, technology, pharmaceutical and biotech licensing transactions, and general corporate counseling.

Niket regularly helps clients with structuring and negotiating complex global outsourcing strategies. Niket represents service providers and customers in sole-sourced and competitively-bid, business-process outsourcing and information technology outsourcing arrangements, software licensing and support agreements, technology transfer and internet-related matters.

Niket also regularly advises Indian public and private companies in their U.S. acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures across various sectors and industries. Having practiced law in India, Niket has also assisted U.S. and other international corporations in structuring and advising them in their India entry strategies as well as any investments and acquisitions in India.

Before joining Wiggin and Dana, Niket was the founding partner of a corporate boutique firm in New York City. Prior to that Niket was an attorney at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and White and Case LLP. Niket has also practiced law in India and was an attorney at Crawford Bayley & Co., a well reputed law firm in Mumbai, India.

Niket is fluent in Hindi and Marathi.
