Michael W. Reidy is of counsel for the law firm of Marquardt & Belmonte. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University.
Mr. Reidy is a seasoned trial attorney with over 16 years of courtroom experience. Throughout his career, he has taken several hundred cases to verdict, including over 80 jury trials. He worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney for DuPage County and was a felony trial supervisor whose assignments included the prosecution of traffic, DUI, misdemeanor, felony, narcotics, sex crimes, reckless homicides and murders. Mr. Reidy was also the First Assistant State’s Attorney of Kendall County. As a litigator, Mr. Reidy has conducted examinations of experts in the fields of narcotics, toxicology, ballistics, fingerprint examination, shaken baby syndrome, child psychology, suggestive interviewing techniques, and forensic psychology. Since entering private practice, Mr. Reidy has handled civil litigation, family law matters, in addition to an extensive criminal defense practice. Additionally, Mr. Reidy has put on training seminars in affirmative defense and DUI and reckless homicides.
