Dodd Lococo, Elizabeth

Born in 1970, was graduated from Cornell University in 1992, cum laude and with distinction in all subjects, and Columbia Law School in 1995, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and Articles Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. Following law school, Mr. Gitner served as a law clerk to the Honorable Naomi Reice Buchwald, then-Chief United States Magistrate Judge (now United States District Judge), from 1995 to 1996, and to the Honorable Barbara S. Jones, United States District Judge, from 1996 to 1997, both in the Southern District of New York. After his clerkships, Mr. Gitner joined the Criminal Division of the U. S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, where he was an Assistant United States Attorney from 1997 to 2005 and Chief of the General Crimes Unit from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Gitner was a recipient of the Justice Department’s Director’s Award for Superior Performance and, in 2003, was named the Federal Prosecutor of the Year by the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation. Mr. Gitner joined Lankler Siffert & Wohl as a partner in September 2005.

Mr. Gitner appears in the 2008, 2009, and 2010 edition of Super Lawyers and the 2010 edition of New York's Best Lawyers. He is an Adjunct Professor at the New York Law School, where he teaches a course on sentencing, and is on the Board of Directors of The Fund for Modern Courts and The Door, an organization that provides comprehensive youth development services in New York City. Mr. Gitner is also the co-author of “Challenging the Guidelines’ Loss Table,” Federal Sentencing Reporter, Vol. 20, No. 3 (February 2008), “Must A Firm Report Child Porn on Company Server?,” New York Law Journal (November 15, 2007), and “Seeking Restitution for the Costs of Internal Investigations,” New York Law Journal (September 29, 2008).
