WILLIAM D. GIRARDOT was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan -- attending high school at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, Mr. Girardot attended the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1993.
Immediately following his graduation from the Indiana University School of Law and upon his admission to the State Bar of Michigan, Mr. Girardot accepted an associate position with Stark Reagan. As an associate with the law firm, and later as a member, Mr. Girardot's primary area of legal practice has been the representation of closely held businesses. Mr. Girardot's representation of closely held businesses involves corporate organizational and governance matters, commercial finance, mergers, acquisitions and employer-employee relationships.
Mr. Girardot is a member of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and co-authorized an article for the Michigan Business Law Journal entitled Technology: Is It All Good? published in the summer of 2002. In 2001, Mr. Girardot authored an article for the Michigan Hotel Motel Resort Association's Michigan Lodging journal describing liability concerns for innkeepers throughout Michigan.
Mr. Girardot is a member of the State of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all Michigan State Courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
