Allison Gilman, Esq., originally from New York, NY has been a resident of Florida for over 25 years.

Ms. Gilman received a Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Florida State University in 1989. She then went on and received her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University in Miami , Florida. Ms. Gilman then worked as a Broward County Public Defender in the 17th Judicial Circuit of Broward County for five years, successfully handling hundreds of cases ranging from trespass to murder.

Since founding her firm in 1995, Ms. Gilman has continued to use her experience and expertise in handling many different types of matters incorporating criminal defense and family law proceedings. She continues to provide citizens of Broward, Dade and Palm Beach Counties with ethical and zealous legal representation.

Ms. Gilman has also been featured on The O' Reilly Factor, Nancy Grace, Abrams Report, CNN and Good Morning America. In addition, Ms. Gilman serves as a regular commentator for Court TV on high profile cases. Ms. Gilman is no stranger to high profile cases of her own in both the criminal and family law arenas.

In 1994, Claudia Muro was sent to jail pending eight charges of aggravated child abuse that stemmed from a hidden home videotape that had allegedly caught her violently shaking a baby. Today she is free, her name has been cleared, and the video has been totally discredited. This was all due to the way Ms. Gilman commanded the Courtroom and the way she got the state’s case thrown out.

Prosecutors dropped the child abuse case against Muro on March 6, 1996 after video experts concluded the "nanny cam" footage that led to her arrest was unreliable.
