Melissa Ilg Devore has a broad range of experience in criminal law, specifically drunk driving, violations of restraining orders and other domestic violence offenses, and drug offenses. Prior to representing defendants accused of crimes, Ms. Devore gained wide experience while serving as a prosecutor with the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.
While serving as an Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Devore prosecuted countless drunk driving, drugs, domestic abuse, and other criminal cases, gaining a unique perspective on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of individual criminal cases. Since joining the law firm of Ilg & Devore in the spring of 2009, Ms. Devore has taken this unique perspective to assist in the representation of individuals charged with various crimes.
Ms. Devore is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (J.D., 2007) and The George Washington University (B.A. Political Science). She has also participated in various seminars and conferences on drunk driving cases. Ms. Devore is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a member of the Greater Lowell Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
In addition to a focus on criminal law, Ms. Devore also represents various parties in select family law cases, such as divorce, child custody, and related matters.
