Paul F. Ready has practiced law in San Luis Obispo, the city of his birth, since 1982, with an emphasis on real estate, business and commercial transactions, bankruptcy and related litigation in both State and Federal courts. Mr. Ready served on the San Luis Obispo City Planning Commission between 1995 and 2001, and served as chair for the last three years of his term on that commission. He taught Business Law classes at California Polytechnic State University between 1983-1993, and continues to regularly lecture on matters concerning debtor and creditor rights, foreclosures and bankruptcy issues.
Paul Ready represents a number of banks, commercial property landlords, and local business interests. He also serves, at the appointment of the local superior court, as both Receiver and Referee in civil disputes, and is a court qualified expert witness on matters concerning real property and bankruptcy law.
Mr. Ready is qualified to practice before all of the State and Federal Courts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Paul maintains an "a-v" Martindale-Hubbell peer review professional rating, the highest rating available from his peers within the San Luis Obispo legal community.
Paul is also active within San Luis Obispo civic community, he has been a member of the Rotary of San Luis Obispo De Tolosa Club for over 25 years (President 2007-2008), and is co-founder and the President of Jack's Helping Hand, a charitable organization serving children with special needs and their families.
Paul graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, and received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the McGeorge School of Law, U.O.P. in 1982.
