Matthew “Matt” Geisick obtained his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism at San Jose State University.  While in school, Matt was the play-by-play announcer for all of the school’s sports and accompanied the baseball team to its first, and only, appearance in the College World Series.  He was also the play-by-play announcer for the San Jose Giants, a local minor league baseball team.  During his broadcasting days, Matt worked for KNBR, NBC and ESPN.

Subsequent to his broadcasting career, Matt worked for a Mortgage Bank in Los Gatos as the account manager.  It was during this time he decided to go to law school.  Working full-time during the day, Matt went to school at night at Lincoln Law School of San Jose.  Matt achieved the distinction of earning the highest grade in his Civil Procedure class which was taught by a local federal judge.  He was also published frequently in the school newspaper.

During his last semester in law school and subsequent to taking the bar exam, Matt worked as an intern for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.  As part of his assignment, he worked on one of the largest criminal cases ever to be prosecuted in the county.  He was also on the narcotics unit and spent many hours in the courtroom litigating on behalf of the People of California.

After passing the bar exam on the first attempt, Matt was employed with a local defense attorney and made hundreds of appearances in local courts.

Matt is a member of the Silicon Valley Bar Association.  He is also a board member of Community Technology Alliance which is a local non-profit providing technology support to agencies and non-profits who are on the frontlines of helping the homeless population of Silicon Valley.  Matt is a member of Los Gatos United Methodist Church where he is a congregational leader and a guitar player in the praise band. He is also an Eagle Scout.
