For over a decade, Laura Benitez Geisler has dedicated her legal career to representing injured persons and their families in a variety of personal injury and civil trial matters.
A native Texan raised in Corpus Christi, Laura went to college at the University of Texas at San Antonio, earning her undergraduate degree while working her way through school waiting tables. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University School of Law where she served as an articles editor for the SMU Law Review.
Laura has been a bar leader since law school where she served as the Vice-President of the Hispanic Law Students Association. After graduation, she went on to serve as the President of both the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and Dallas Women Lawyers Association. Currently, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Bar Association.
Her written work on expert trial testimony has been published in the Security Journal and she has served as a legal expert on a nationally syndicated television talk show.
In addition to being a featured speaker on “America’s Most Influential Women in Law” on the Forbes Skyradio Network, Laura has been voted by her peers as one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” in the area of personal injury in D Magazine (2004, 2006, 2007, 2008) and named as a Thompson Reuters Texas Super Lawyer “Rising Star” (2004-2011). In 2011, she was one of five lawyers nationwide selected by the Hispanic National Bar Association as a "Top Hispanic Lawyer Under 40".
