Jessica L. Rafferty is an associate at the firm and concentrates her practice in the areas of plaintiff personal injury litigation, family law and civil litigation.
She earned her B.S. in Business Administration (magna cum laude) from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 2003 and received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia in 2009.
Ms. Rafferty is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and is a member of the Westmoreland, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations.
Prior to entering law school, Ms. Rafferty served as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps in Honduras. She worked to educate children in the areas of health and environmental protection. She also worked with women to raise awareness about domestic violence and helped women to promote their personal businesses ventures.
During her time in law school, Ms. Rafferty had the opportunity to clerk for Judge Stanley P. Klein of the Fairfax County Circuit Court and also worked as a law clerk at QuatriniRafferty.
Currently, Jessica serves on the Board of the YWCA of Westmoreland County, whose mission is eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
She is also a volunteer for the Latrobe Youth Commission, which is designed to prevent first time juvenile offenders from obtaining an official court record by providing them with closer community supervision.
In addition, Jessica volunteers as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) with CASA of Westmoreland by serving as an independent advocate for children who are in the court system due to abuse and neglect.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys running, playing tennis and playing the piano. She was born and raised in Latrobe and currently resides in the Latrobe-Greensburg area.
