Dawn M. Prokopec is an associate with the law firm of Ihrie O'Brien who practices primarily in the areas of family law and municipal law. Since joining Ihrie O'Brien, Ms. Prokopec has successfully handled many divorce, custody, and other family law related matters for numerous clients. In addition to her experience in family law, Ms. Prokopec has an abundance of knowledge gained in her role as an assistant city attorney/prosecutor for various municipalities.
Ms. Prokopec is also active with the Macomb County Bar Association. She will serve as the Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the Macomb County Bar Association in 2011-12.
Ms. Prokopec graduated, cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2004, where she received numerous awards. She also served as an executive editor for the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review mentor and was inducted into the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society. Ms. Prokopec received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 2000.
