Christopher Davis is an experienced trial lawyer and class action litigator specializing in the areas of employment, civil rights and criminal defense. He is a partner in the firm and heads the firm’s Employment and Workplace Justice Practice, specializing in all forms of employment and labor disputes ranging from severance and pre-litigation settlement negotiations to nationwide class actions.
Mr. Davis started his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney’s office where he successfully handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases, including many trials, the majority of which resulted in convictions. Later, Mr. Davis was selected for the Sex Crimes Unit and specialized in prosecuting felony sexual assault cases, including rape, kidnapping and attempted murder.
Following his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Davis entered private practice and worked for reputable litigation firms representing employees in employment disputes, including Thompson Wigdor LLP. As an employment litigator, Mr. Davis has successfully handled hundreds of cases, including overtime and wage dispute class actions, discrimination claims, breach of contract claims, financial industry bonus disputes and Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower claims. Mr. Davis has trial experience as an employment litigator, and has served as lead counsel in numerous class actions, successfully negotiating substantial settlements for his clients in numerous cases, including class action litigations against large investment banks which resulted in substantial settlements.
