Bob handles a broad range of personal injury, property damage and contract claims, specializing in litigation and defense in the maritime industry. His areas of emphasis include maritime law personal injury claims, Jones Act claims, Longshore & Harbor Workers Compensation Act claims and proceedings, General Maritime Casualty claims, and maritime contract and lien claims.
He joined Mills Shirley in 1987 after two years as a Briefing Attorney for the Honorable Ross N. Sterling, U.S. District Judge. In this position, he handled the docket, motions and other issues before the court, including maritime suits, arrests and claims. Bob is also a licensed seaman with experience manning and working aboard various vessels, including harbor tugs, drill ships and drilling rigs.
