Alexandra received her B.A. from Williams College with a double major in Computer Science and English. While at Williams, Alexandra served as the President of the Computer Science Student Advisory Committee, was awarded a merit scholarship by the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, and was a Class of 1960 Scholar in Computer Science. In her spare time, Alexandra worked as a Teaching Assistant for intermediate and advanced software engineering courses and a Student Technical Consultant at the Office for Information Technology. Also during her four years at Williams, Alexandra spent a semester pursuing her research in Graph Theory at Queen Mary University of London in London, England.
Alexandra then received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where she was a member of the Latin American Law Student Association and a recipient of the Dorothy Day Award for Pro Bono service. In her spare time, Alexandra volunteered at the Pennsylvania Innocence Project, local animal rescue organizations and a legal volunteer project at a domestic violence shelter in the Dominican Republic.
Alexandra has been admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey and has previously held positions in the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office, the Federal Public Defender of Delaware and the Federal Community Defender for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, in the Habeas Corpus Unit. Her areas of interest include family and criminal law, with particular focus on the rights of prisoners, animals, and victims of domestic violence.
Alexandra is originally from New York but currently is enjoying the peace and quiet of Berks County, Pennsylvania. Once a dancer and a gymnast, Alexandra still enjoys both forms of exercise as much as her spare time allows. She also enjoys playing the piano, running and spending time with her parents, two brothers, and dogs.
