Theresa Cypher was born in Rockford, Illinois in 1962. She received her B.S. from Iowa State University in 1984 in Forestry and her M.S. from the University of Michigan in 1989 in Natural Resources Management, Planning and Policy.
Attorney Cypher studied law at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology and graduated with honors in 1999. She was admitted to bar in the State of Michigan in 1999.
Attorney Cypher is a member of: the Van Buren County Bar Association (President, 2007-2008); the Board of Directors of the Eastern Van Buren County Habitat for Humanity; the Van Buren County Adult Community Protection Team; the Diocese of Kalamazoo Catholic Lawyers Guild(President, 2006-2012); the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan.
In addition, Ms. Cypher is a Certified Instructor for the American Red Cross and a Certified Mediator.
