Mickey Pohl heads Jones Day's Product Liability & Tort Litigation Practice worldwide. He has extensive trial and appellate experience having handled such cases across the country for more than 30 years. He has counseled clients on U.S. litigation issues in Europe, South America, Asia, and the Caribbean. His practice includes product liability and toxic tort matters and government investigations, including Consumer Products Safety Commission matters, as well as antitrust, corporate governance, telecommunications, natural resources, and corporate criminal litigation.

For more than 20 years, Mickey has led the team representing The Sherwin-Williams Company in lead paint and pigment cases. He has tried cases for such clients as Firestone, General Motors, Sherwin-Williams, U. S. Steel, and The Williams Companies and represents Yamaha in numerous cases and in MDL proceedings. He also has represented dioceses, colleges, and religious orders.

Mickey is a member of The American Law Institute and has taught trial advocacy. He is one of the authors of Conflicts of Interest — A Trial Lawyer's Guide and chaired the Lawyer's Advisory Committee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is on the board of the Rand Corporation's Institute for Civil Justice. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Chambers, and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers. The BTI Consulting Group named him a "Client Service All-Star." He was chairman of the 2007 United States Open golf championship.
