Peter J. Curtin is a partner at Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP. Mr. Curtin's practice focuses primarily on complex patent litigation, including Hatch-Waxman patent litigation, and counseling matters. He has extensive experience developing and executing litigation strategies to efficiently meet client objectives.
Patent and Complex Commercial Litigation
Mr. Curtin has extensive patent litigation experience, including Hatch-Waxman patent litigation. He has been involved in every stage of patent litigation, including fact and expert discovery; drafting summary judgment, Markman, and Daubert briefs; arguing Markman and summary judgment motions; handling court-ordered mediations; managing pre-trial activities; preparing witnesses; and conducting examinations at trial. He has been lead counsel in patent cases involving many different technologies.
Mr. Curtin has experience with a broad range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, software, telecom, chemical, industrial processes and business methods.
Additionally, Mr. Curtin also has represented clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, including Lanham Act, false advertising, and agency enforcement actions.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining RMMS, Mr. Curtin was a partner at Venable LLP. Before joining Venable LLP, he served as an officer in the United States Army JAG Corps, where he prosecuted numerous cases in the Sixth Military Judicial Circuit and also served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, where he conducted felony and misdemeanor prosecutions in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
