Mr. Cumberlege received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of law. While attending law school, Mr. Cumberlege was appointed as a research assistant to a distinguished professor, was a teaching assistant for two years in the legal writing class for the first year law students and was appointed the Managing Editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy.
During Law school, Mr. Cumberlege published twice. His first publication, entitled Multilateral Environmental Agreements: From Montreal to Kyoto- A Theoretical Approach to an Improved Climate Change Regime, earned him a scholarship to attend the very prestigious Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands. His second publication, a chapter entitled Corporate Social Responsibility, was included in The Law of Transnational Business Transactions, a textbook widely distributed around the world. Mr. Cumberlege recently authored another chapter on Foreign Direct Investments that will be included in next year’s edition of the same textbook. Mr. Cumberlege also had the rare distinction of writing a guest commentary in the Denver Post while still a student law school. After graduating law school, Mr. Cumberlege worked as an associate for two years at a Plaintiff’s law firm specializing in personal injury. Mr. Cumberlege now works as an associate at Stuart D. Morse & Associates. Mr. Cumberlege is a Board Member of the Ved Nanda Center for International and Comparative Law. Mr. Cumberlege is a South African who moved to the United States in 2000.
