Bill Crowley is a seasoned business and transactional lawyer practicing primarily in the areas of business planning and counseling, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. He has represented clients throughout the United States and abroad in major transactions including business acquisitions and sales, securities offerings, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, reorganizations and workouts.
Bill acts as legal counsel to a number of mid-sized and growth-oriented companies in such varied industries as information systems, internet retail and services, health care, manufacturing, distribution, consulting, construction, printing and franchising. He counsels his business clients on a wide variety of legal and business issues, including business structure, equity financing, venture capital and debt financing, corporate governance and shareholder relationships, employee and executive compensation, intellectual property protection, joint ventures, strategic business alliances, customer and supplier relationships, and succession planning and exit strategies.
Bill began his career with the Chicago law firm of Winston & Strawn, and later was a partner in the law firms of Norman & Billick and Coin, Crowley & Nord. In 1983, he was a founding partner in Cowen,Crowley, Nord & Staub, P.C. which later became Stahl Cowen Crowley Addis LLC.
Bill is listed in Marquis Who's Who in American Law (3d Edition).
While at Michigan Law School, Bill was named to the select Michigan Legal Honor Society. After law school, he was appointed to the University of Wisconsin Law Faculty where he served as an Instructor of Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy.
