Dennis P. Crimmins is of counsel to the firm, applying his 20 years experience to the Business Law and Real Estate practice group. Formerly a partner at Goodwin, Procter & Hoar in Boston, Mr. Crimmins¹ practice is focused on commercial real estate, with particular emphasis on representing developers, lenders, and investors in strategic land use planning before state and local permitting agencies; in negotiating architectural, construction, and design/build contracts; and on restructuring and resolving problem loans on commercial real estate developments.
His expertise also extends to representing hotel owners and their lenders in negotiating joint ventures and management and franchise agreements, as well as advising pension funds and other tax-exempt investors in making large-scale commercial real estate investments and loans. In addition, Mr. Crimmins has considerable experience representing buyers and sellers in significant residential transactions.
After graduating from Princeton University cum laude in economics in 1972, Mr. Crimmins served as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy and worked in the marine construction industry as a diving supervisor. While attending the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary, he was a member of the William and Mary Law Review.
