Daniel J. Cragg joined Eckland & Blando in 2011 already equipped with a reputation as an aggressive litigator with a focus on procedurally complex cases, including cases against the government. Daniel has represented clients and served as lead counsel in State and Federal court and in administrative proceedings at the State and local level. As a dedicated litigator, Daniel applies his vast knowledge of procedure and judicial remedies to a wide array of litigation practice areas, such as government contracts, admiralty & maritime, commercial disputes, contempt proceedings, civil rights, labor & employment, administrative law, criminal law, and appellate practice. Daniel has served as lead or principal trial counsel in both court and jury trials, has argued before the Minnesota Court of Appeals on multiple occasions, and has experience with the maritime arrest and attachment procedures of the Supplemental Rules for Admiralty and Maritime Claims. He frequently advises other attorneys on litigation strategy and procedure.
Daniel has represented billion dollar companies, as well as small and medium sized businesses in a wide range of industries such as banking, construction, manufacturing, retail, and software development. Daniel is active in the Minnesota State Bar Association, where he is a member of the judiciary committee, and he also serves as the President-Elect of the National Contract Management Association's Twin Cities Chapter.
Daniel is a cum laude graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. He received his B.A. in history and international studies from the Virginia Military Institute.
