As a founding member of Johns, Flaherty & Collins, Daniel T. Flaherty has set the standard for legal excellence and community involvement that distinguishes us from other firms.

With his broad expertise and 50-plus years' experience, Dan is a member of our business/employment group, personal/family services group and litigation group. His practice areas include litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, malpractice defense, product liability law, real estate law, environmental law, workers compensation law and arbitration/mediation.

Daniel spent his undergraduate years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Dartmouth College, and he graduated cum laude in 1949 from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

A distinguished attorney, Daniel not only is a member of the La Crosse County, Wisconsin and American Bar Associations, he is also a member of the American Judicature Society, past president of the University of Wisconsin Law Alumni Association and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

He is committed to environmental issues and is a past member and chair of the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board and a founding member and president of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin. He has also been chairman or president of the City of La Crosse Equal Opportunities Commission for the past 32 years.
