Shane Cortesi joined the firm in 2010. He previously worked as an associate with Kirkland & Ellis, LLP in New York City.
Mr. Cortesi's practice focuses on patent prosecution and enforcement of intellectual property rights and he has represented leading companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device fields.
Prior to law school Mr. Cortesi worked as a graduate researcher at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and as a patent scientist for Pharmacia Corporation (now a subsidiary of Pfizer, Inc.) also in Chicago.
