Mr. Corkery conducts a litigation and trial practice of national scope. He represents clients in transportation, class action, sophisticated insurance coverage and bad faith, employment discrimination, products liability, commercial, and mass tort litigation. Through his national practice, Mr. Corkery has handled client matters in Arizona, Texas, Hawaii, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Missouri, Ohio, North Carolina, West Virginia, New York, Kansas, New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware in recent years. Mr. Corkery frequently appears in both state and federal courts throughout the United States and is experienced in alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Corkery was named a 2011 and 2012 "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers, "the ultimate guide to the top lawyers in Pennsylvania." This honor is received by only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania lawyers each year.
In addition to litigating, Mr. Corkery also advises institutional clients regarding legal compliance, risk management, internal protocol, and electronic discovery, and has been a guest lecturer regarding electronic discovery. Mr. Corkery is also an active member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI). Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Corkery was a litigator with the world’s largest law firm, DLA Piper US LLP, in Philadelphia.
Mr. Corkery is admitted in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and in the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey state bars. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in numerous jurisdictions.
Mr. Corkery has clerkship experience at the federal trial level and state appellate level. He clerked for the Honorable Yvette Kane, of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and for the Honorable Renee Cohn Jubelirer, of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, both in the internship capacity.
Mr. Corkery graduated with high honors from Lehigh University and achieved the distinction of membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society of collegiate business schools, the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, the Order of Omega Honor Society, and the Financial Management Association Honor Society. He was also recognized as the Zeta Psi Good Scholar while at Lehigh University. During law school at the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, Mr. Corkery was a comments editor for the Penn State Law Review and achieved the honor of membership in the Woolsack Honor Society for his high law school class rank.
