Martha advises clients about a broad range of litigation issues, including corporate and commercial disputes, wrongful dismissal, personal injury, administrative law, and select criminal and regulatory law matters. Martha also advises clients with respect to municipal and environmental matters.
Martha regularly appears as counsel before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, as well as a variety of administrative tribunals.
Martha was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2001. She holds an LL.B. from Queen’s University (1999) and a B.Sc.(Hons.) in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Waterloo (1996). Prior to her return to Stratford in late 2007, she practiced litigation in Toronto with a boutique litigation firm.
Martha is active in her community. She is a member and Board member of the Stratford Rotary Club of Stratford and sits on the board of the Huron Perth Community Legal Clinic. Martha has written and spoken on numerous professional topics, and is involved in a number of legal education initiatives, including annual Ontario Law Day. Martha is a member of The Advocates’ Society, the Perth-Wellington Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers’ Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
