Marjorie Sommer Cooke

Ms. Cooke is the founding and managing partner of Cooke, Clancy & Gruenthal, LLP. She has extensive experience representing clients in litigation involving the wide range of complex problems encountered in today's business environment. Her practice includes disputes arising in such contexts as mergers and acquisitions, shareholder relationships, venture capital and other financing transactions, securities transactions, partnership dissolutions, real estate transactions, and construction projects. She is experienced in litigating patent infringement and intellectual property protection, antitrust, breach of contract, environmental contamination, CERCLA cost recovery, and insurance and fidelity bond coverage matters. In the field of employment law, Ms. Cooke handles wrongful termination, compensation disputes, enforcement of non-competition agreements, and discrimination claims. She has also provided corporate defense in numerous jurisdictions in actions for personal injury and product liability.

Ms. Cooke serves as national trial counsel for a number of clients, providing on-going advice on business, intellectual property, and employment litigation issues and handling their litigation nationwide. She also serves as patent litigation counsel for a number of companies, including high tech companies.
