Cook, Gregory J.

Chris Cook is a staff attorney in the Securities Department at WilmerHale. He joined the firm in 2007.

Practice

Mr. Cook focuses his practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, he works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control.

Mr. Cook has direct experience with the representation of clients in investigations and special examinations by the Securities and Exchange Commission, including a major US financial institution under review for its accounting practices and audit committees.

Between 2005-2007, Mr. Cook was a contract attorney for several law firms in the Washington, DC area, including WilmerHale. In 2006, Mr. Cook served as a litigation project manager, in addition to his contract responsibilities, for an AV-Rated insurance defense firm in Austin, Texas. He oversaw the implementation of Concordance 8 and IPRO, litigation support software and document management tools, and utilized the technology in complex document reviews and productions for the firm.
