H Tom Fehn has 35 years of experience practicing law in California, specializing in all aspects of securities law, including state and federal registration, regulatory enforcement (both civil and criminal), broker-dealer regulation and compliance, litigation, arbitration and mediation of investment loss cases (for both plaintiffs and defendants).
For more than ten years, Mr. Fehn has been a faculty member and co-chair of the Practicing Law Institute's annual seminar for attorneys on Securities Arbitrations and has authored numerous articles on securities related issues. He has also served on the faculty of the University of West L.A. School of Law, teaching Corporations Law. Mr. Fehn has qualified as an expert witness in state and federal courts and in various arbitration forums concerning securities industry issues and attorney professional standards. He has acted as an arbitrator or mediator in more than a hundred investment loss disputes, and has had many speaking engagements before securities industry groups, continuing legal education and private organizations.
Mr. Fehn graduated with a B.B.A. (finance) in 1965, from Loyola University of Los Angeles, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California in 1968. He was admitted to the California Supreme Court and the USDC for the Central District of California in 1969, and to the United States Supreme Court in 1975.
