Comenzo, Richard F.

Attorney Joan K. Parke is a 2007 graduate of the University of Marquette Law School, and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison with majors in philosophy and political science.  Upon graduation, she returned to La Crosse, her hometown to practice law.  Prior to practicing law, Joan worked at the corporate headquarters of M & I Bank for several years as a loan officer and compliance officer.

Attorney Parke's practice focuses mainly on bankruptcy and debt relief for both individual consumers and small business owners. She has represented hundreds of clients in Chapter 7 and 13 proceedings.  In conjunction with her bankruptcy practice, Joan has helped many business owners wind down or restructure their businesses.  She regularly advises creditors regarding how to navigate the Bankruptcy Court when a debtor files bankruptcy.  As a result, she is a highly respected bankruptcy attorney and frequently presents at local seminars on this topic. She recently co-authered a published two-part article titled Bankruptcy Basics for Attorneys.  Joan also represents clients in probate, estate planning and business matters.

Joan is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. In addition, Joan is actively involved in several professional organizations and the community. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Wisconsin Court Appointed Specialty Advocate (CASA) Association and is a member of the La Crosse Downtown Rotary. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the La Crosse County Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
