Cole, Sarah Brannan

Annemarie Pantazis received a B.A. in Government in 1995 from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. In 1999, she earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Ms. Pantazis practices in the areas of personal injury and workers' compensation, representing and enforcing the rights of personal injury victims and victims of work-related injuries. She also represents persons who face traffic violation charges.

While at Wake Forest Law School, Ms. Pantazis served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board and was a published member of the Wake Forest Law Review. Her article, Zeran v. America Online: Insulating Internet Service Providers from Defamation Liability, 34 Wake Forest L. Rev. 531 (1999), has been quoted as persuasive authority by the Florida Supreme Court and was suggested reading at Harvard Law School.

Ms. Pantazis devotes a majority of her practice to representing injured workers in North Carolina workers' compensation claims. She has given several continuing education classes to fellow attorneys on the North Carolina Workers' Compensation Act.

Ms. Pantazis is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Mecklenburg County Bar, the Workplace Injury Litigation Group, and the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys.  She is licensed to practice in all North Carolina state courts as well as federal courts in the Western District of North Carolina and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Pantazis' interests include traveling and sports. She was the captain of her college rugby team and earned All-State honors at her position. She is an avid football fan and enjoys flag football, softball, and running.
