Nicholas E. Fairweather has represented labor unions, employees and small businesses for eleven years.
Mr. Fairweather grew up in Northeastern Wisconsin. He graduated from Lawrence University, in Appleton, and received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2000. He was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin later that year. Mr. Fairweather was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin in 2000 and the Eastern District of Wisconsin in 2003.
Mr. Fairweather's work spans several areas of law. He has represented individuals, labor unions and small businesses before the state and federal courts of Wisconsin and administrative agencies throughout the state. Mr. Fairweather has represented Wisconsin consumers in debt collection harassment, misrepresentation and housing lawsuits. His labor and employment practice focuses in the areas of employment discrimination, contracts, professional licensure, and public employee and public-sector union litigation.
Mr. Fairweather currently serves on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Wisconsin's Solo & Small Firm/General Practice Section. He volunteers his time with the Dane County Bar Association's Small Claims Assistance Program and the Wisconsin Lawyers Assistance Program. He served on the Board of Directors of the Tenant Resource Center in 2009.
Mr. Fairweather has been selected for inclusion on the list of Rising Stars in the 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions of Milwaukee Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine.
Mr. Fairweather focuses his practice in labor, employment and consumer litigation.
