Jacob Cohen, a native Houstonian, earned his Bachelor of Arts majoring in Telecommunications and Film, from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. After graduating from the University of Alabama, Jacob attended South Texas College of Law where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2011.
Jacob’s legal career began as law clerk with Marshall Davis Brown, Jr.. While in law school, Jacob clerked at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in the Family-Criminal Law Division with a focus on domestic violence cases. Jacob joined the firm as an associate attorney in March, 2012.
Jacob’s practice focuses on divorce proceedings, pre-marital and post-marital agreements, property characterization, valuation, and division, child support modifications, modification of visitation and parental rights, enforcement of court orders, cases involving Child Protective Services, and adoptions.
As a law student, Jacob served as President of the Sport and Entertainment Law Society and was also active in the Jewish Law Students Association.
Jacob is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
