Lisa Ewart is a counsel in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and the Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2005.
Practice
Ms. Ewart represents clients with complex disputes in all stages of litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. Ms. Ewart’s clients include corporations, insurance companies, bondholders, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, government corporations, small businesses and individuals. Ms. Ewart has experience in all facets of the litigation process, including discovery, motions practice, mediation, preparing for trial and appeals.
Ms. Ewart focuses her pro bono practice on assisting disabled Veterans in their efforts to obtain benefits and assisting small businesses facing bankruptcy.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ewart served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sandra Lynch of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Ms. Ewart received her JD, with highest honors, from the University of Texas Law School in 2004. Prior to her legal studies, Ms. Ewart was a member of AmeriCorps VISTA and served with the Monterey County America Reads Program and the Panetta Institute for Public Policy in California.
