Alyssa devotes her practice exclusively to family law matters, including alimony, equitable distribution, child custody, child support, pre-nuptial agreements and domestic violence. Alyssa has been licensed to practice law in New Jersey since 2011. She is also licensed in the state of New York. Prior to joining Newsome O’Donnell, Alyssa served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard M. Freid of the Chancery Division, Family Part of Passaic County.
Alyssa graduated from Seton Hall School of Law, in Newark, NJ in 2011, and received her Bachelor of Arts from American University, in Washington, D.C., in 2007. While attending Seton Hall law, Alyssa participated in the Center for Social Justice Family Law Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in various family law matters, including domestic violence and divorce. Alyssa was recognized with the Outstanding Clinical Practitioner award for 2010-2011. Alyssa also participated in several pro bono programs, including the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project, and interned at the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender.
