During law school and into his legal career, Mr. Clifford worked at a small general practice in Tallahassee – specializing in civil, bankruptcy, and juvenlie delinquent defense. Mr. Clifford also worked hand-in-hand with the Public Interest Law Center at Florida State University, working on cases where juveniles were charged with life felonies and subject to long-term prison sentences. He handled cases from intake through jury trial, with positive results in a high percentage of his cases. It was there that Mr. Clifford developed a reputation in the legal community as being a hard fighter, and a skilled negotiator.
