Ms. Oppenheimer focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions including acquisition, development, financing (construction and permanent), leasing and disposition. She regularly represents owners, developers, investors, managers, and lenders in connection with real estate projects across the country.
Ms. Oppenheimer has significant experience drafting and negotiating retail, office and industrial leases. She has represented commercial, shopping center and apartment developers, owners of commercial office buildings and industrial buildings and mall tenants. She has also drafted and negotiated numerous office building management agreements and service contracts as well as a broad range of construction-related agreements such as development agreements, construction contracts, architect agreements, construction management agreements and design-build contracts. Ms. Oppenheimer has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers since 2002.
Ms. Oppenheimer has extensive experience representing lenders in real estate-based lending transactions. She has also handled a wide variety of I.R.C. 1031 Tax-Deferred/Like Kind Exchanges including forward and reverse exchanges as well as exchanges involving exchange period construction and undivided tenant-in-common ownership interests.
