Clay, Christopher S.

Yolanda Orozco has more than 25 years experience litigating complex business and commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on federal court practice. Her practice has involved toxic tort and product liability matters, tax litigation, securities fraud, intellectual property disputes, business torts and unfair competition, telecommunications litigation, and RICO claims. She also has represented clients in grand jury and regulatory investigations, internal investigations, and other white-collar criminal matters.

Yolanda has extensive trial and appellate experience and represents clients in diverse complex litigation. She recently won reversal of a $56.7 million tax assessment levied by a local municipality against Williams Power Company. Yolanda, along with other Firm lawyers, represented Dole Food Company against toxic tort claims in U.S. and Nicaraguan courts. She most recently was part of a team representing the Los Angeles Unified School District in a massive school construction dispute.

Yolanda is president-elect of the Federal Bar Association, Los Angeles Chapter. She was appointed by Senator Dianne Feinstein to her Judicial Advisory Committee to screen applicants to the federal court and the U.S. Attorney's Office. Since 2005, Yolanda has been voted a "Super Lawyer" in the Southern California Super Lawyers annual survey. In 2009, she was named to the list of "Top Women Litigators in California" by the Los Angeles Daily Journal. She is a co-chair of the Los Angeles Office's Diversity Committee and a mentor in the office.
