Ms. Zhang represents injured clients in complex civil litigation involving pharmaceutical products, medical malpractice, and consumer protection. She is experienced in the resolution of challenging DES cases involving third-generation birth defects and drug manufacturer identification disputes. Currently, she is responsible for litigating the ongoing breast cancer cases affecting DES daughters.
In the area of consumer protection, Ms. Zhang worked on the team responsible for exposing Tyson Foods' falsely promoted "chicken raised without antibiotics" in Sanderson Farms v. Tyson Foods, No. RDB-08-210 (D. Md. filed Jan. 25, 2008). The plaintiffs successfully enjoined Tyson from misleading consumers with further false advertising.
For four years, Ms. Zhang worked for the top defense law firms in America and has gained the advantage of knowing her adversaries. She has a thorough understanding of the structure, function, and strategies of the defense teams she is now litigating against on behalf of her clients and their families.
Ms. Zhang is also committed to pro bono service. She has successfully represented clients in asylum, immigration, child custody, and domestic violence pro bono cases. As a native Chinese speaker, she has a special interest in representing those underserved or without legal access due to language barriers in the community.
Ms. Zhang is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School; she is admitted to the District of Columbia and Maryland Bar.
