Richard's representative clients seeking to acquire distressed assets and financially troubled companies include: Aurora Resurgence, Bayside Capital, International Steel Group, Marubeni Corp., Mason Capital, and The Riverside Company. He has represented bondholder committees in the Cone Mills and Mattress Discounters chapter 11 cases; the senior secured creditors in the Bronco Coal, Sonoran Energy, and Renova Energy chapter 11 cases; and significant creditors in numerous other chapter 11 cases, including representation of Banco Nazionale del Lavoro, Canyon Capital, and Goldman Sachs. Richard's principal debtor representations include: Chrysler, Dana Corp. Metaldyne, WHX Corp., and WilTel Communications.
