Attorney Paul D. Odegaard is a native North Dakotan who came to Billings, Montana in 1999 to begin his legal career in private practice. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus, and earned his law degree in 1998 from the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he was a member of the prestigious law review. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, recognizing his achievement for graduating in the top 10 percent of his law school class. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Mary Muehlen Maring, Justice of the North Dakota Supreme Court.
Mr. Odegaard began practicing with a large civil defense firm in 1999 in Billings, but changed the focus of his practice to representing the injured in 2001 when he joined the law firm of Cozzens, Warren & Harris, P.L.L.P, which in 2005 became Cozzens, Harman, Warren, Harris & Odegaard, PLLP.
In 2008 Mr. Odegaard started his own practice and continuing his focus representing injury victims with an emphasis in work-related auto and oil field accidents. Since 2002, Mr. Odegaard has tried eight civil jury trials to verdict, achieving a successful verdict for his client in each case.
Mr. Odegaard is a member of the State Bar of Montana, American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, Montana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Yellowstone Area Bar Association.
