Chisenhall, Lawrence E.

Leizel Ching is an associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2008.

Ms. Ching’s practice focuses on intellectual property and complex commercial disputes. She has successfully represented clients in a variety of industries, including the semiconductor, telecommunications, biofuels and advertising industries. Ms. Ching has litigation—including trial—experience in multiple state and federal courts, as well as in the International Trade Commission.

Past Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ching was a member of the Microsoft Lab: Technology Practicum at the University of Chicago, where she worked with Microsoft’s Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs on legal initiatives relative to the practice of multinational software and technology-based business. She was a summer associate at WilmerHale in 2007, where she contributed to issues involving corporate matters; intellectual property counseling, licensing and litigation; class action litigation and white collar litigation.

In 2006, Ms. Ching was an extern for the Honorable Marilyn Hall Patel for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, where she researched issues in bankruptcy law, civil procedure, copyright law, constitutional law, criminal procedure, criminal law and immigration law.

Ms. Ching has volunteered as a legal intern for the Orange County Public Defender and as a dispute resolution mediator for the Fair Housing Council of Orange County. From 2000 to 2004, she taught chemistry, physical science, algebra and geometry at several high schools in California.
