Kevin O'Mara focuses his practice on the representation of financial sponsors, both private equity and hedge fund sponsors, as well as mergers and acquisitions in US and foreign transactions.
Kevin has led the representation of financial sponsors in connection with the formation of new private equity and hedge funds and capital raising by such funds. He also has led the representation of such funds in connection with substantial investments and exits in the media, energy, health care/biotech, manufacturing, and technology sectors for financial sponsors such as Bay Harbour Management, Empeiria Capital, HM Capital, and Lion Capital.
As an adjunct to his practice, Kevin has assisted financial sponsor clients with inter-shareholder arrangements and board counseling of public and private companies. In addition, he is a frequent television commentator, appearing on CNBC and Bloomberg Television, among other news outlets.
He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
