Rand C. Eddy was born in New York City and raised in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Eddy graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in May of 1983 with a Bachelors of Arts degree and All-Conference honors in football and track. He attended Oklahoma City University Law School and graduated in the top 15% of the class of 1986 with a Juris Doctorate.
While in law school Mr. Eddy was the Notes and Comments Editor of the Oklahoma City University Law Review from 1985-1986 and published two (2) articles. Mr. Eddy was admitted to the bar of the State of Oklahoma in October of 1986.
Mr. Eddy began practicing law as a Public Defender at the state and then federal level where he gained substantial trial experience.
Mr. Eddy opened his law firm in 1994 and his areas of practice include employment discrimination, white collar criminal defense, contract litigation and civil rights. In June of 1999, Mr. Eddy was awarded an A-V Martindale Hubbell rating. In 2005, Chambers & Partners recognized Mr. Eddy as one of the leading plaintiff's employment lawyers in the State of Oklahoma. Recently, Mr. Eddy has been inducted into the society of Outstanding Lawyers in America, selected by his peers to be included in the 2005-2008 editions of The Best Lawyers in America Published Works and selected by Oklahoma Magazine as an Oklahoma Super Lawyer in the area of Employment and Labor Law two years in a row.
Currently, Mr. Eddy is defending the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector on federal charges of mail fraud, bribery and conspiracy in a case that has been described as the largest public official corruption prosecution in the last quarter century.
